Inverse design of photonic and phononic topological insulators: a review

چکیده

Abstract Photonic and phononic topological insulators (TIs) offer numerous opportunities for manipulating light sound with high efficiency resiliency. On the other hand, inverse design methodologies, such as gradient-based approaches, evolutionary deep-learning methods, provide a cost-effective strategy developing photonic structures unique features in steering sound. Here, we discuss recent advances achievements development of TIs employing including one-dimensional TIs, based on quantum spin Hall effect (QSHE) valley (QVHE), high-order lattices diverse symmetries. Several inversely designed superior performance are exhibited. In addition, our perspectives future this emerging study field.
